Welcome to the U.S.A. Women’s Futsal Team fundraising Web site

For those of  who don’t know, Futsal is the only FIFA –that is Fédération Internationale de Football Association-approved indoor soccer in the world.  It’s a 5 vs. 5 game–4 field players and a goalie) played on a basketball court-type playing field with no walls. It emphasizes ball control and fast decision-making and is the form of indoor soccer that the rest of the world plays–us silly Americans are behind the ball on this one.

Recently, the U.S.A. Women’s Futsal Team was formed out of the American Futbolito training facility in Danvers, Mass. The women’s team is training for upcoming domestic and international competitions. Because the women’s program is a new program, currently the team is not fully funded and is in need of some funds to help defray the costs of travel.

The ladies of the team work hard each week to attend practices, some travel a few hours just to attend practice, while holding down full-time jobs or attending school.  Each member of the team understands that in order to achieve the final goal of playing in the Olympics, hard work and dedication is required.  This Web site is for these ladies and the hard work they put in on and off the field.
